I like the flash animation you placed on the splash page. However, you probably should put a link immediately below. It could read "skip intro" or whatever. Kasi, your flash animation takes a while to load and visitors with slower connections might think your site is broken and leave prematurely. Other than that, your fansite looks good.

One tip: Do not post any e-mail address on any page of the website. If you must provide a means for your visitor to contact you, either post the e-mail address as an image without any surrounding <a href="mailto..."> tags (see www.adduhs95.com/contact for an example), or use an e-mail form. Posting email addresses either as visible text or within tags is a sure-fire way for the e-mail address to receive spam. Lots of spambots are crawling the web these days looking for e-mail addresses embedded in webpages. Avoid them at all costs.

Furthermore, I think you should provide new information instead of re-posting what has been posted in other mymp fansites. for example, your "the band" content could use fresh information, otherwise, you're not really providing anything of value to your co-fans.

Other than this, I would appreciate it if you give credit where credit is due. For example this picture in your website: http://67.15.38.21/~mymptk/images/pic1.jpg originally came from www.adduhs95.com. I know because I was the one who edited that. The original picture was given to me by Juris and had former-percussionist Mike immediately behind Juris' right shoulder. I removed him as per MYMP's request after he'd left the band. You'll notice the veneer effect in that same area now because I simply used the cloner tool of Adobe Photoshop. I'd appreciate it if you gave credit to our batch's website at www.adduhs95.com. Note that Juris--your idol--belongs to the batch of adduhs95 too. Thank you.

Now, to show that there are no hard feelings. let me be the first one to contribute to your wallpapers collection. Please see http://photos22.flickr.com/24427806_3b506e3cf4_o.jpg. I made this originally for www.mympband.com, but you may also host it. If you want me to exchange www.mympband.tk for what's written at the bottom, let me know. sana tanggalin nlang yung portion na may free listening... lalo na yung sa albums nila... kc tlga ewan ko its not good maybe not totally negative but i guess mas mabuti kung tanggalin... and before kau maglagay ng mp3s for free downloads please ask permission nlang sa mymp management... thanks!

bakit gumawa ako ng radioblog, para sa ibang hindi aware sa mga songs ng mymp, especially those people abroad, they get to listen to their songs, later on bibili sila ng cd kasi magaganda yung mga songs.pinarinig ko din yang radio sa relative ko abroad, nagpabili din ng cds ng band dito sa manila, lahat p ng album nila. i heard some foreigners who have listened to it, naghanap din sila ng mabibilhan ng cds ng band.... yung isa yata nakabili sa isang online store.


tsaka pala, kaya nga hindi ko pinost lahat yung mga songs from all their album, para patikim lang sa visitors, ano ang mangyayari kung nagustuhan nila yung featured album? tapos sa susunod na week, wala na yung gusto nila. ako in my opinion, kung gusto ko talaga yung songs ng band, and i dont want my day pass without hearing them play my favorite tracks from specific album, I'd rather buy a cd than wait for how many weeks before the site feature that album i crave for. di ba.


i email their manager about it, i guess its ok to them to post the radio kasi hindi niya naman ako sinisita.


ulitin ko, the songs on the radio is not downloadable.

Actually, downloadable sila. But then, it requires a bit of hacking. For example, the song "Emotion" in your radio has the following address:

I purposely changed the file extension above to XXX para di malaman ng iba. But I know it's not mp3.

Pagkatapos ma-download, I got a copy of your player from radioblog, looked up a few pages and voila! Meron na akong mp3 nga MYMP.

It takes a little bit of hacking, but it's still downloadable. Just goes to show that nothing is secure on the Internet.

Hi im new here. Just a quick question. If one were that smart to actually know how to extract mp3 music from the www.mymp.tk radio blog why would he be so stupid as to actually do it? There are hundreds of options out there that he can use to download music. Or could it be that you are suggesting that people should do it? Come on guys, it's a pointless excercise.

The point of the exercise is to prove that the music can be downloaded. And if the music can be downloaded, then that is welcoming piracy. Yes you may have other sources to download the music other than mymp.tk. However, just because there are, doesn't make the mymp.tk downloadables less of an issue.

The ideal scenario is that MYMP's CDs should not be downloadable from anywhere if the artists do not get royalty for it.

The only irony here is how you sound somewhat intelligent, but then cannot seem to get into your head the very simple point that I am trying to raise. Therefore, out of the goodness of my heart, I'm going to help you out by explaining it in simple pre-school terms:

I have no preconcieved notion that I am the smartest person in the world. There are even smarter people out there and that means they will eventually find out that those files are downloadable and will download them even if I did not reveal the fact that they are downlaodable.

It seems that you are mixing up the two points that I made. OK, let me summarize for you the premise of my arguments. First, there are two types of people: 1) Those who DO NOT know much about hacking and thus can only try and guess what the filenames are, and 2) Those who DO know how to hack and therefore do not need to guess at all.

Now, these were the points raised by my previous post:

1. Those who don’t know how to hack, will have a harder time guessing. Thus, I am not actually teaching them how to download the stuff. And, naturally, therefore I am not going against my stand against piracy. Furthermore, I am not putting the songs at risk more than they already are.

2. On the other hand, those who do know how to hack do not need to guess. Thus, the permutation rule will not apply to them.

Now, you asked this question:

Let me answer you with this: stranger things have happened in this world. Why did Charles Manson kill all those people? Why did those Afghans fly a plane through those twin towers? Why do the sales of cosmetics rise when the economy is down? Why would anyone want to break the world record on "most number of watermelons broken with one's own head?" Stranger things have happened and just because you find it hard to believe, doesn't mean it might not happen. The events in this world do not depend on what you, pinoybigbrother, believe will and will not happen.

You might be wondering, how many people are crazy enough to download from mymp.tk? Look dude, it doesn't matter if it's 1 person or many. It takes only one person with the intent of pirating the songs to put MYMP’s music at risk. You know why? Once he hacks the website and gets the mp3’s, nothing is going to stop him from sharing the downloaded songs with other people. Then, those people will share those with other people. Then, those people will share those with other people. It only takes one person.



Now, this argument you made:

Come on man. Where's the logic there? And what about this:

Anyway, illogical arguments aside, let’s proceed. You will recall that my message to the webmaster is this:

YOU ARE PUTTING MYMP'S MUSIC AT RISK BY PUTTING THE _FULL SONGS_ ON THE INTERNET.

Now, if you will recall the mymp.tk webmaster's purpose for putting the music on their website, it's so that people who have not heard of their music will buy it.

Now, if his purpose is simply to give them a taste of mymp's music, then that’s well and good. On the other hand, posting the full music is a risk and furthermore not authorized. So what can we do? Can a compromise be reached? Try and guess.

In case you didn’t figure it out, the answer is YES.

mymp.tk can simply post short clips of their music. People will now have more incentive to buy mymp's music because they will want to hear the whole thing. On the other hand, some cheap bastard may try to download the full songs from illegal sources, but at least it's not going to come from mymp.tk

Now, here's a more interesting question. Why are you so defensive about mymp.tk anyway?
