Hi! I posted this here again just in case there is anyone out there from teh group who reads this stuff or if any one of you have direct contact with them
I watched them in bagaberde last night and I really felt bed. I had the impression juris didnt feel like singing kagabi. She was kinda holding back on her notes (maybe a cold?) and we only got glimpses of her talent. Me and my companions really felt shortchanged.
In 4 or 5 songs, she let the audience sing the chorus and didn't even join in. when they sang "Love Moves", she didn't even sing a note of the chorus While this may be cute in 1 song, doing it to us for 4 songs is unforgivable
I was really looking forward to their stint last night sa Bagaberde and their Oct 1 gig sa Music Museum but now, me and my friends have doubts
Their songs are on the top of my iPod playlist and I just felt let down by their performance
In contrast, the group befor ethem really gave a great performance. A whole lot of energy and had people going.
If any of the group is reading this, please let me know its just an off night. As fans, we feel we deserve to hear the best of you guys, in each and every performance.
I was listening to groups like this since the old days of DV8, Passage, Hyperbeat and it surely was a letdown. Even Nina and Paolo Santos give it their best, night in and night out. I don't see why MYMP shouldn't.... Cmon guys, Make Your Momma Proud !!!

hi... i was there last saturday also... and yeah i saw what you mean... siguro masasabi ko lang, during the first two songs , they were all warming up... including juris.. pero i also saw that the crowd wanted to take part and finish the songs (esp. the chorus)...including "Love moves.."... I think the crowd just gave them a favor nakita naman ng band na nag-eenjoy sila kantahin yun eh.. Also nag-thathank you rin si juris hehe...pero nung mga bandang huli nakita ko ok naman sila and they finished the songs themselves so wala na ko reklamo about it...
MAYBE PAGOD NA SI ATE JURIS !!... TAO DIN NAMAN SYA, KELANGAN NYA RIN MAGPAHINGA !!... NONSTOP KASI GIGS NILA EH... HALOS EVERYDAY !!...
oo nga you should consider her conditions....anyway halos everyday sila travel ng travel..if you only saw their hectic schedules....pagod lang cguro sya...kaya ganun yun...okies...if i were there i would really enjoy singing kahit ako na lang kakanta para sa kanya.....
are you saying that its' ok to under perform dahil pagod sila? that's not really a good excuse because they get paid to perform and they have to give it their best night in and night out ordinary office workers can't get away with that sort of excuse in their work, why should mymp be any different?
anyway, i will still watch them on oct sa music museum and see if they do any better
Being the eventmanager of MYMP for BACOLOD and a close friend of MYMP....., I WOULD LIKE to APOLOGIZE for such incidence...I KNOW and I GUESS ALL MYMP FANATICS WOULD ALSO AGREE...THAT MS. JURIS is always PERFORMANCE LEVEL everytime she has a gig...I GUESS medyo PAGOD lang cya due to their SUPERHECTIC SKED...i hope you won't feel bad now...i will let MS. gnawa din nya d2 sa LB yung pinapakanta ang audience kasi nakikita nya na ang daming nakikisabay so pinagbigyan nya...minsan di rin sya sumasabay pero napalakpak sya..hehe! and cute sya nung ginagawa nya yun!haha!!!
yo, pinoymacuser! yeah, i know what you're telling about the "no under-performance when a gig" thingy. i kno dat thing na you shouldnt disappoint your audience with a "matamlay" or "nkk-antok" level of performance. kahit ako, when i used to be a vocalist ng banda namin. talagang dinidikdik ng guitarist namin who is the head, na never get your tardiness on the performance-level's way. in simple words, basta may gig na ur paid, performance level dapat.
pero pre, naransan ko and madali lang palang sbhin yun. well, nandun yung pursuit mo na "in a gig, dapat talaga satisfy the audience". pero minsan talagang dumarating ka sa puntong, sobrang pagud na pagud & puyat na puyat ka (even worse hindi ka pa kumakain nang maayos).
kahit pilitin ka ng utak mo to go on a preformance level, hindi mo talaga minsan gu2stuhing gawin kc baka magcollapse ka onstage. hindi mo naman masasabing dapat in gud health ka b4 d performance bcoz, ur not a musician/performer alone. ur also a familyman, and other sorts.
these things happen, dude. believe me, juris doesn't really want to disappoint anyone.
things like that happen! i cant explain in behalf of the band! but i think they are aware of our sentiments and concerns! and im perfectly sure that they'll make their moms proud during their Oct 1 concert..the band will definitely give us a great show!

don't get me wrong, i really love mymp and it just hurts me that such a talented group ends up alienating fans
i am also afraid that they are over-extending themselves to the point that they book gigs 7x a week and end up performing at 50%-60% of their potential. Don't u agree that this will actually hurt them that help them?
i've heard them get booked at schools, malls, and smaller venues. While this may be a good way to build up a fan base, I am not sure they will give it 100% for the smaller venues.
it's just a thought... but i don't want to see them burned out, over-exposed and too beat half of the time...
hi pinoymacuser, i understand your sentiments.. i watched their concert in UPLB, and as UPLBaby posted,she did the same thing.. there are many possibilities din kasi why she did that, maybe because she wanted the crowd to be more involved or sabi nga ng iba, baka pagod sya.. i've been a member of an events management team for 3 years na, and i must say na, as a performer, yung pagod should not be a hiendrance para di mo maibigay yung best shot mo.. di mo naman kasi pwede i-explain sa audience yun... meron mang makakaintindi, meron din syempre hindi... pero di naman talaga natin pwede mapigilan yung maramdaman yung pagod lalo na kung halos everyday eh may gig sila or out-of-town shows diba, i just hope na they can get (esp. juris) enough rest. who knows diba, bka hindi lang si pinoymacuser ang may ganitong sentiments..
basta, whatever it takes, manonood pa rin ako ng sa music museum! certified jurisian ako.. hahaha!!

& thanks to the other mymp fans na hindi agad-agad nang-aaway pag nakarinig ng negative things about mymp. ganyan dapat. things happen. may mga hindi maiiwasan. wag natin ipakita na mga mabababang uri ng tao ang mga fans ng mymp na warfreak. we're all here as music lovers & we all love mymp.
